Horseback Riding is an excellent sport, and is one of the only sports that educates both body and mind. Horseback Riding is a healthy, outdoor sport developing aerobic exercises and body muscle which can be enjoyed alone or with others.
Horseback riding teaches responsibility to those who ride, and even more to those who take care of horses. Riding also teaches patience, discipline, understanding, empathy, self-control, and dedication. These are just some of the life skills that horses can teach you better than a person.
The reason we really ride however, is because of the horses. Just being around horses is proven to lower blood pressure, heart rate, alleviate stress and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
