Is your child crazy about horses? Are you looking for a unique summer activity filled with horses? Then Painted Hilltop Farm is for you!

Learn what it's like to own a horse of your own!

We are proudly creating safe and memorable equine experiences for all of its campers.

 

Each camp day offers new adventures as campers learn all about horses, stable management, equine assisted learning and so much more. Campers spend their time exploring nature, making new friends and enjoying tons of fresh air at our spectacular facility.   

 

Themed camp days allow campers to try a variety of different riding disciplines including Bareback, English, Western and Equine Assisted Learning. Hands-on horsemanship sessions introduce campers to horse care, and proper grooming. Campers can tap into their creative side with fun, unique horse themed crafts and partner up for team building challenges.

 

Our Riding Camps are designed and headed by a licensed Equestrian Canada Certified Instructor. Low camp/counsellor ratios provide a safe environment and ensure campers are properly supervised at all times.  All of our staff are friendly, experienced and professional.  A First Aid/CPR Certified staff member is on site at all times.

 

Painted Hilltop Farm camp programs provide a perfect introduction for new riders just starting out as well as for experienced riders looking to take their skills and knowledge to the next level.

2024 Summer Camp

Our camps run from 9am-3pm and
are for participants ages 6+

Camps are developed to touch on
horse care, English and western riding styles
musical rides, crafts, and proper terminology.

Sample Day Schedule

                  

  • Grooming

Camp Hours: 9am - 3pm 

General Camp Information

** All riding lessons and camp activities are weather dependant and at the discretion of staff. Camp will run rain/snow or shine, however, if there is a heat/cold advisory - mounted lessons will be cancelled for the day and replaced with suitable activities.

What to Bring

  • Change of clothes appropriate for weather 

  • Lunch, snacks, drinks, extra water

  • Sunscreen, bug spray

​

What to Wear 

  • Riding pants or comfortable pants

  • Riding Boots or Winter/Rubber boots with heel 

  • Riding Helmet 

​

Riding: Campers will be grouped together according to level of experience using exercises and games designed for fun and skill development. Campers will practice appropriate skills for their their level.

​

Barn Management Sessions: We will introduce campers to the topics of horse health care,
anatomy, markings, colours, intro to barn duties: feeding, mucking, sweeping, barn safety

​

Unmounted Activities: Crafts, Scavenger Hunts, Nature Walks, jumping a course on foot, Dressage Tests
